You will need to configure IIS to use the 404.asp file for the 404 handler.

  1. Start up Internet Service Manager.
  2. Select the web site you want the 404 handler to apply to.
  3. Right click on it and select properties.
  4. Select custom errors.
  5. Select error 404.
  6. Press Edit Properties.
  7. Change the message type to URL.
  8. Change URL to be the location of your 404.asp file.
