The Haab, or vague year, is a 365 day period. It consists of 18 months of 20 days each, followed by one 5 day period (Wayeb). The Maya were aware that this was short of an actual year by approximately a quarter day, but this did not concern them.

The month names varied in the various Mayan dialects. The Yukatek Mayan months are shown below.
