The Calendar Round is a 52 year period defined by combining the Tzolk'in with the Haab. As each day passes, the days in the Tzolk'in and Haab increment in their respective cycles. Any day name in the Calendar Round, say 9 Etz'nab 16 Sak, is repeated every 52 years in the Maya Calendar. The Calendar Round was used by most Mesoamerican cultures at one time or another, including the Aztec, with different names for the days in the Tzolk'in and Haab.
